How we keep Dyaspo a place people can trust.

Last updated: November 6, 2026

Draft for launch. Have a lawyer review this page before you open Dyaspo to the public, and fill in the details in [square brackets].

Be who you say you are

Use your real name and accurate details. Keep your profile and projects honest and up to date.

Describe projects honestly

Say what the project is, what stage it is at, and what people get: equity, pay, advisory equity or a side project. Do not promise results you cannot deliver.

Respect people's time

  • Read applications and answer them, even if the answer is no.
  • If you accept someone, contact them within seven days. Applicants can tell us if you do not.
  • If you cannot commit any more, withdraw your application or mark the role as filled.

Protect contact details

An email or LinkedIn address shared after an acceptance is for talking about the project only. Do not pass it on, save it for other uses or message people in bulk.

No paying to join, and no schemes

Never ask someone to pay to join a project, to buy something or to invest as a condition of a role. Do not use Dyaspo for pyramid or get-rich-quick schemes, or to sell unrelated services.

Treat everyone with respect

No harassment, threats, hate or discrimination, including because of origin, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age.

Put agreements in writing

Talk about equity, ownership of the work and what happens if someone leaves before anyone starts working, write it down, and consider getting legal advice. Dyaspo is not part of your agreement.

Keep it legal

Do not post anything illegal or use Dyaspo for illegal activity.

Report and block

Use the report button on a project or profile if something is wrong. You can also block a person, so that neither of you can apply to the other's projects.

When the rules are broken

We review reports. Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, limit what an account can do, or close it. If you think we got it wrong, write to [CONTACT EMAIL].
